"A truly remarkable book, profound and deeply moving! This first person account of a lifelong seeker’s apprenticeship with Shun Yuan, a gentle Western-born Adept of the Tao and Taiji martial arts, enthralls the reader both as a teaching story and an introduction to as remarkable a man as any hero out of fiction. In the end, one is left with a sublime sense of inevitability and peace. An amazing achievement!"
- Irving Karchmar, author of Master of the Jinn: A Sufi Novel
I was really lucky to be given the chance to read this book pre-release. It is among the best books I've read, certainly in this genre, and takes its place alongside my other all time favorites. The story is truly told from the heart by an author with a sense of humor that doesn't mind poking fun at himself. If you are looking for a truly inspirational tale of "hapless Seeker meets Master who turns out to be a cross between Donald Shimoda and Tyler Durden" and want to laugh out loud and perhaps cry, this is definitely the book for you!

Ten Methods of the Heavenly Dragon is a story of Robert Sheaffer’s study with his teacher, Shun Yuan, whilst living in Taiwan. It is a story of adventure, spirituality and self discovery that you can be sure to return to time and time again. The Author has a fantastic writing style and has succeeded in describing how the martial way can be used to enhance all areas of our lives – something that I believe all martial artists should aim for. Moving, insightful and inspiring, I already see this book as a classic. Steve Hodgkinson www.healthandcombat.co.uk
